Junior Accountant Full Time

Hire Resolves Client, a leading Beverage Manufacturing Company is looking for a Junior Accountant to jon their team in Cape Town. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the finance team. 

Job Description:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
• Assist in the maintenance of financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist in the preparation for financial audits and work with auditors as needed
• Help with payroll processing and other accounting tasks as assigned
• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Stay up to date with accounting principles and regulations, as well as industry trends and best practices
• Contribute to the overall success of the finance department and the company as a whole

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 1-2 years of work experience in accounting or a related field
• SAICA Articles completed would be advantageous. 
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
• Knowledge of GAAP and other financial regulations
