Senior Draughtsman – Civil Consulting Full Time

Our esteemed client, a prominent player in the Civil Engineering Consulting sector, is in search of a seasoned Senior Draughtsman to enrich their dynamic team.

Joining as a Senior Draughtsman, you will wield significant influence in shaping and executing civil engineering projects. Your primary responsibility will entail crafting precise and comprehensive technical drawings utilizing specialized software for diverse infrastructure ventures. In close collaboration with engineers and fellow team members, you will contribute to project fruition while ensuring adherence to industry norms and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine technical drawings and blueprints leveraging specialized drafting tools.
• Engage with engineers and professionals to brainstorm and refine design concepts.
• Mentor and guide junior draughtsmen to foster their professional growth.
• Verify that drawings and designs align with prevailing industry standards and specifications.
• Conduct periodic reviews and amendments to drawings and plans as warranted.
• Foster seamless teamwork to accomplish project objectives within stipulated timelines.
• Stay abreast of emerging drafting software and industry dynamics to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Extend technical assistance and guidance to team members as required.

 Requirements: 

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, or currently pursuing NDip Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a draughtsman in the Civil Engineering Consulting domain.
• Prior management experience of 4 years and CAD proficiency spanning 6 years is essential.
• Expertise in specialized drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS Output.
• Exemplary attention to detail and precision.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal proficiencies.
• Aptitude for infrastructure design.
• Robust problem-solving acumen coupled with analytical prowess.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
